The Sentinel Building is a 14-storey structure that is designed as a tall marker within the urban design strategy for the wider Sandyford transformation area from Industrial lands to a mixed-use zone. The Sentinel Building provides a visual focus at the masterplan entrance at the junction of Blackthorn Avenue and Carmenhall Road.
The Building was originally planned as full and flexible open-plan office layouts and was completed to frame stage to reflect this design. On completion of the frame, planning permission was obtained to convert the building into 300 enterprise units, each of c.300sqft in size, fully equipped with workspace area, kitchenette and bathroom facilities. Each floor level contains common office facilities, including meeting rooms and conferencing rooms. A ground level cafe & reception area provides further options for breakout workspace.
The building provides c. 150, 000sqft of accommodation, over 14 levels, including rooftop extension permitted under the 2013 Planning Consent.
